Tag: My Top 4 Favorite Makeup Products

Hello girls! This was a tag done by aebeidler on YouTube. I tag all of you to tell me your top 4 beauty products you couldn't live without!
  1. New York Color Lippin' Large Lip Plumper
This is by far my absolute favorite lip gloss I have ever tried. First of all it retails for only $3.99 so at that price you can by all 6 shades for only $23.94. My favorite shade is 472 Straberry Mousse. It is a soft pink that comes out lighter on the lips than it appears in the tube. I love this gloss because it slides onto the lips so easily. It isn't very sticky and it lasts the longest out of any gloss I own. It leaves a slight cooling and tingling feeling on the lips and helps plump them up. This is definately the gloss I could never live without.
    2.  e.l.f Professional Studio Endless Eyes Pro Eyeshadow Palette- Limited Edition
This is my favorite palette. It has 100 highly pigmented shadows of every shade you could think of. The price of $10.00 is unbeatable! This palette has every shadow color I'll ever need.
    3.  Maybelline Mineral Power Blush
Let me start off by sadly telling you all this product is discontinued. These blushes were my favorite for about 2 years. I personally loved the soft mauve color. The blushes were mineral based so they were not bad for your skin. They deposited just enough color to give a healthy glow.
    4.  L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes
I love the brush on this mascara. It defines and separates my lashes with no clumping. Ever! It makes my lashes so thick and long, like nothing else. It lasts for the longest time with no smudging or flaking. It also keeps the curl on lashes all day long. I will never use another mascara again.

What are your top 4 makeup products?

Today's Video: Organize Your Purse!

Hey girls! Here's a quick video I did to help you all get a little bit more organized! This is a great way to jump start the New Year early! Who's resolution isn't to be more organized?
Are you girls going to try these tips? Do they help?

Skincare Routine: UPDATED

Hey girls now I know I have a skincare routine on my YouTube channel but it is from the summer and a bit outdated. I have changed it since then and thought I would share it with you girls.
So the first thing to do before deciding on a skincare routine is to know what kind of skin you have. If your not sure there are plenty of great online skin evaluations you could take. I personally have combination skin; I am oily in the t-zone, with some blemishes here and there.
     Morning Routine:

  1. I like to start off with a cleanser. It's super important to cleanse first thing in the morning to remove any excess oils, dirt, or bacteria. If you have oily or combination skin you should stick to a foam or gel cleaner, for drier skin opt for a cream cleanser because they tend to be super moisturizing. I prefer cream cleansers to foam or gel ones so if you do have combination skin and opt for a cream cleanser make sure you choose one that is oil free and very light in texture. I use the Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser. http://www.cleanandclear.com/product/cleansers/continuous-control-acne-cleanser It removes all the dirt and oils and leaves my skin feeling cool and refreshed. It also has a low concentration of benzoyl peroxide. Make sure the cleanser you opt for has a low concentration of acne medication to chemically exfoliate the skin. Steer away from abrasive scrubs which will only dry out the skin. To cleanse the face you want to use lukewarm water and work the cleanser into a lather using your fingertips. Then rinse it thoroughly with lukewarm water, be careful not leave behind any residue. Finish with a splash of cool water and pat, don't rub, dry.
  2. Next I use a toner. This will remove any excess residue my cleanser left behind. I use  Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Triple- Action Toner.http://www.neutrogena.com/product/oil-free+acne+stress+control-+triple-action+toner.do?sortby=ourPicks Apply the toner to the entire face using a cotton ball. Try to stay away from astringents which are toners with a higher alcohol level. They can harm the skin. If you do opt for an astringent only apply it to your t-zone or acne prone areas of the face.
  3. I always follow my toner with a moisturizer. Moisturizers moisturize the skin and can prevent premature aging. I use the Wet n Wild Fresh Face Skincare Clear Skin Oil-Free Moisturizer. (Discontinued) Make sure to apply right after cleansing and using your toner so the pores are still open. And make sure your moisturizer is oil-free. If your moisturizer or foundation doesn't have any SPF don't forget to apply sunscreen.
     Nighttime Routine:
  1. Start off by removing your makeup. I use the Sonia Kashuk eye makeup remover.http://www.target.com/p/Sonia-Kashuk-Eye-Makeup-Remover-4-oz/-/A-10329666 I simply soak a cotton ball in it and then sweep it over my eyes.
  2. Next I cleanse but this time I use the Clean & Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser to remove my face makeup.http://www.cleanandclear.com/product/cleansers/deep-action-cream-cleanser You could always use a face makeup remover for this step, but I find those make me break out. Then I use the same cleanser I use in the morning.
  3. Now I use a toner to refresh my skin. I use the same toner as the morning.
  4. Next I moisturize but I use a different moisturizer. You want to use a heavier moisturizer at night to really get your skin replenished. I use the St. Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer.http://www.stives.com/Facial-Products/Timeless-Skin/Collagen-Elastin-Facial-Moisturizer/
  5. Then I'll apply a spot treatment on any pimples I have. I use Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment.
     Tips:
Throughout the day there are also little things that I do to keep my skin healthy.
  1. First of all I drink plenty of water all day, it is just as important as using a moisturizer.
  2. Next I eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, which can contain antioxidants that prevent wrinkles.
  3. I try to exercise every day to help relieve stress which can contribute to breakouts.
Hope that these tips helped! Leave your skincare routine in the comments.

Today's Video: Bre's Blabber-My New Website!

Hey girls! Today is Sunday so it felt like a blog type of day. I really have been feeling like vloging, so there will be more coming. Can't wait for my new website, can you?

Christmas Countdown: 13 Days!!

Wow December is flying by only thirteen more days until Christmas! I can hardly believe it. If your like me your probably flipping out a little bit because you still have holiday shopping to do! Well don't stress out just run to the mall this week and pick up some gifts. Love you girls and hope your not to stressed about the holidays.

Book Club: Justice by Faye Kellerman

So the other day after school me and a gf were walking to her house, when we decided to stop at the local library. They were having a free used book giveaway. I was immediately super excited, since I absolutely love to read. I picked up five novels, this being one of them. It seemed the most interesting of them all so I have gotten right to reading it.I have been reading it every chance I get. I am about a quarter of the way in, and I am hooked.
Here's a summary of the book I found on the Barnes & Noble website:
The cruel and bizarre slaying of a beautiful teen leads Detective Decker into the dark heart of an exotic subculture: the seamy, sometimes violent world of Southern California's rootless, affluent youth. But even the confession of a disturbed kid with cold "killer eyes" cannot soothe Decker's inner torment. For he knows in his gut this crime goes much deeper and higher than anyone expects -- and that true justice, brutal and complete, has yet to be done.
It sounds a bit morbid, I know. But I love a good suspense novel and all the reviews rave about this book. I have a hard time putting it down when I get to reading it. When I finish this book, you can count on a full review!

Countdown to Christmas: 17 Days!

So if you saw my previous blog post labeled "Countdown to Christmas" I listed what festive activities to do each day until Christmas. Well today is December 7, which means only 17 days until Christmas!! And today would be the perfect day to curl up with a few of your favorite Christmas stories and a cup of hot coco. I know I will be:) Below is my top fave Christmas stories. Check them out.

  1. The Nutcracker- When I used to do ballet I danced in this several times so it will always have a special place in my heart. It is the story of a girl, Clara, and her adventures on Christmas eve. Read it to see where her adventures lead her.
  2. T'was The Night Before Christmas- This traditional Christmas story has always been a childhood favorite of mine. This story tells of a family's Christmas Eve.
  3. Christmas Carol- I've seen this play and read this story several stories. Learn how Scrooge turns around from hating Christmas to loving it.
  4. Little Women Christmas- I love the little women books and this one is about the girls Christmas.
  5. The Three kings- A more religious choice, it discusses Jesus's birth.

Time to Sparkle: My Experience with Jesse's Girl Glitter Eyeliner

Jesse’s Girl Glitter Eyeliner in Motown (retails for $1.99 for 0.4 ounces) is my favorite color out of the Jesse’s Girl Eyeliners which are rich in color, creamy in consistency, and wear great on the waterline. This is one shade out of the fifteen in the collection. Motown is a gorgeous blue, slightly teal color with little blue glitters. For the most part it has a creamy consistency, though it does flake occasionally when applied. It does have a great pay off and you only need one swipe to achieve vibrant color. I love to add this eyeliner to matte looks because it adds some unexpected glitter. As for the wear it lasts all day, even in the waterline. I found the color remains vibrant throughout the day. Even the glitters last and don’t fall out of place as they do in some liners.
This liner does not skip or tug at the skin; it applies a smooth even application in one sweep. With the occasional flake here and there. The wear seems to be better than a lot of other blue liners I own. The pencil can be sharpened to a fine tip, making for easy application. If you are looking for teal liner to add a pop to any look, I highly recommend this one. It can be purchased on http://www.jessesgirlcosmetics.com/ for $1.99.
Overall thoughts: I would give this product a 9.5/10. The pigmentation is absolutely fabulous for a drugstore liner, and the texture overall is pretty smooth. It lasts the longest out of any teal liner I have tried. It is easy to apply; only needing one sweep to achieve vibrant, flawless color. It also comes with a sharpener that doubles as a cover. I loved this, because I am always losing sharpeners, so this one is easy to find. It also doesn’t create the hassle of trying to find a sharpener to fit the tip because it is perfectly formed for the pencil. It is great for travel because it has this 2-in-1 mechanism.

Smokey Eye Series: Black

Today’s video is the first of six tutorials in my Smokey Eye Series. I really love the way this look turned out. Let me know if any of you try it!

Gaga Tastic: Tutorial

Lady Gaga is definitely an icon of our time period. She has such a unique personality and sense of style, what is not to love. I was recently browsing Vevo and watched her new video for “Marry the Night”, and then I got the idea to do a tutorial. Since I don’t have the time to film one, I figured I would do a blog post tutorial, something I haven’t done yet. Below is the photo I used for inspiration.

  1. 1.       Start off by washing your face with a good cleanser, then finish off with a toner and moisturizer.
  2. 2.       Start off with a full coverage foundation and apply it all over your face with a stippling brush. I like Revlon Color stay Normal/Dry Skin.
  3. 3.       Conceal under the eyes and on any problem areas.
  4. 4.       Set the foundation with a powder on a big powder brush.
  5. 5.       Apply a light bronzer as a contour for your cheekbones and temples.
  6. 6.       Use a highlighter as blush on the apples of your cheeks for a shimmery pop.
  7. 7.       Apply an eye primer on your lids all the way up to the brow bone; then apply a silver cream shadow as a base. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Pots and Pans would work perfectly for this look. Apply the jumbo eye pencil only to the lower lid and then blend it out with your finger.
  8. 8.       Apply a sparkly silver shadow all over the eyelid using a flat shader brush.
  9. 9.       Apply a grey color in the crease with a crease brush; then blend with your favorite blending brush.
  10. 10.   Take your highlighter you used on your cheeks and apply it to your brow bone and inner corner of the eye.
  11. 11.   Line your upper lash line with a liquid liner.
  12. 12.   Line your waterline and tight line with a black eye pencil.
  13. 13.   Using an angle brush place a matte black on the outer half of the lower lash line, then the first silver on the inner part of the lower lash line
  14. 14.   Now apply some crazy false lashes and then blend the false lashes with your real ones by apply some mascara. Not too much!
  15. 15.   Then finish the look off with your favorite matte nude lipstickJ

If you try this look post pictures so I can feature you on my blog!

Review: Cover Girl All Over Glow

Cover Girl All Over Glow in Rosy Glow
My New Favorite Highlight: Cover Girl All Over Glow in Rosy Glow
Cover Girl All over Glow in Rosy Glow ($4.99 for 30mL) is a highlighter that can be used to also give an all-over glow. It delivers a very shimmery-sheen pink color. It comes out a bit white when swatched but if applied with a brush it works well. It gives just the right amount of glow and sheen to the face. It is more shimmery than most highlighters I have tried, but it seems to work for it. I was pleasantly surprised with how long the color wears for. It lasted me all day. It has a light rosy scent in the bottle but when applied to the skin it smells like makeup, but it isn’t an over powering scent.
Its consistency is thin and creamy, but can be sticky; another reason I suggest applying it with a brush. You don’t need much of the product at all; it is very pigmented so the tube will last at least 4 months if used on a daily basis.
The downside is that this product was limited edition and can only be purchased from dealers on sites such as EBay (where I got mine). I normally would not do a review on a discontinued product but I love this highlighter so much I had to share it with all of you. Hopefully you can find it somewhere.
Overall Thoughts: I would rate this product 9.5/10. The pigmentation is fantastic; it gives a very vibrant sheen. It has a smooth, creamy texture that if applied right is not sticky. It lasts for a very long time, much longer than a powder or cream highlighter. It is pretty easy to apply if a brush is used. I do not like the packaging though because the tube can dispense a lot more product than actually needed. But if you are looking for a way to add a healthy glow to your face or just highlight this product is a must.

Tips for Maintaining Your Own Bangs

Now the holiday season can be stressful and expensive. Why not save some money by trimming your own bangs. It’s super easy and a lot cheaper than going to the salon. This is only how to maintain your bangs though if you don’t have bangs DON’T TRY TO CUT THEM YOURSELF! I once did and the outcome wasn’t the best.
  • ·         Now when cutting your own bangs shampoo and condition as normally but make sure to blow dry before cutting. You never want to cut wet hair yourself because as it dries it will shorten.
  • ·         Never cut past your eyes, you don’t want to cut any actual hair, only your bangs.
  • ·         Make sure to cut vertically, not horizontal.
  • ·         Lightly cut the ends, don’t bring the scissors up to far
  • ·         Make sure to use small scissors, they are easier to control!

Hope these tips help! Comment with your own tips or to let me know if these tips were helpful!

My Top 5 Can't Live Without Body Products

Hey girls so I thought today I’d share with you my top 5 body products that I couldn’t live without.
1.       Dove Beauty Bar:             I love this soap; it has such a clean scent. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin and leaves me feeling fresh and cleansed. And it doesn’t sting your eyes like most soap. I definitely recommend its purchase.
2.       Victoria Secret Pink Fragrance Mist:       My boyfriend purchased this for me a few years ago and I have been hooked ever since. It smells so delicious. And although the packaging has changed since I first purchase it, the fragrance sure hasn’t! On the plus size it is named after my favorite color, pink, and I love it just as much.
3.       Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash:            I own backups of this product, I love it that much! It smells delicious and is like a lotion consistency. It leaves my skin so silky smooth. I love it.
4.       John Frieda Go Blonder Shampoo:          This shampoo has that wonderful fresh from the salon scent and it really lightens my hair in the winter.
5.       Soft Lip Vanilla Chap stick:          This Chap Stick is super smooth and smells delicious. I love to apply it before lipstick so the lipstick glides right on. It also has SPF which is a super big plus.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, Have Any of youPurchased it?

I just saw about the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette and I’m wondering if any of you have purchased it yet? If so please comment and let me know how you like it. If a lot of you do, then I will purchase it and do a review for all of you.

AcneFree Theraputic Sulfur Mask Review

AcneFree Therapeutic Sulfur Mask ($7.99) is one of my favorite face masks of all time. My only complaint about it is that it does not smell that great. I usually wash my face after using the mask and then finish with a cleanser the remove the odor left behind from it.
But once you get past the smell, this is a great product for red or irritated skin. You can even feel the mask at work, which I love; it leaves a cool tingling feeling on your face. I find it really reduces the redness I have. It also minimizes pores and removes excess oil from the skin. As for getting rid of acne, I didn’t really see a difference so if you struggle with severe acne this product will remove redness but not the pimples.
I do recommend picking this mask up because even if you don’t have any skin problems it helps firm and smooth out skins overall appearance. It is well worth the purchase and super easy to use. The mask changes to a light blue color when it is time to rinse so there is never any guessing.
I definitely recommend checking out AcneFree’s website, they offer a wide variety of skin care products for sensitive skin, moderate acne, and sever acne.
