Book Club: Justice by Faye Kellerman

So the other day after school me and a gf were walking to her house, when we decided to stop at the local library. They were having a free used book giveaway. I was immediately super excited, since I absolutely love to read. I picked up five novels, this being one of them. It seemed the most interesting of them all so I have gotten right to reading it.I have been reading it every chance I get. I am about a quarter of the way in, and I am hooked.
Here's a summary of the book I found on the Barnes & Noble website:
The cruel and bizarre slaying of a beautiful teen leads Detective Decker into the dark heart of an exotic subculture: the seamy, sometimes violent world of Southern California's rootless, affluent youth. But even the confession of a disturbed kid with cold "killer eyes" cannot soothe Decker's inner torment. For he knows in his gut this crime goes much deeper and higher than anyone expects -- and that true justice, brutal and complete, has yet to be done.
It sounds a bit morbid, I know. But I love a good suspense novel and all the reviews rave about this book. I have a hard time putting it down when I get to reading it. When I finish this book, you can count on a full review!

Time to Sparkle: My Experience with Jesse's Girl Glitter Eyeliner

Jesse’s Girl Glitter Eyeliner in Motown (retails for $1.99 for 0.4 ounces) is my favorite color out of the Jesse’s Girl Eyeliners which are rich in color, creamy in consistency, and wear great on the waterline. This is one shade out of the fifteen in the collection. Motown is a gorgeous blue, slightly teal color with little blue glitters. For the most part it has a creamy consistency, though it does flake occasionally when applied. It does have a great pay off and you only need one swipe to achieve vibrant color. I love to add this eyeliner to matte looks because it adds some unexpected glitter. As for the wear it lasts all day, even in the waterline. I found the color remains vibrant throughout the day. Even the glitters last and don’t fall out of place as they do in some liners.
This liner does not skip or tug at the skin; it applies a smooth even application in one sweep. With the occasional flake here and there. The wear seems to be better than a lot of other blue liners I own. The pencil can be sharpened to a fine tip, making for easy application. If you are looking for teal liner to add a pop to any look, I highly recommend this one. It can be purchased on http://www.jessesgirlcosmetics.com/ for $1.99.
Overall thoughts: I would give this product a 9.5/10. The pigmentation is absolutely fabulous for a drugstore liner, and the texture overall is pretty smooth. It lasts the longest out of any teal liner I have tried. It is easy to apply; only needing one sweep to achieve vibrant, flawless color. It also comes with a sharpener that doubles as a cover. I loved this, because I am always losing sharpeners, so this one is easy to find. It also doesn’t create the hassle of trying to find a sharpener to fit the tip because it is perfectly formed for the pencil. It is great for travel because it has this 2-in-1 mechanism.

Review: Cover Girl All Over Glow

Cover Girl All Over Glow in Rosy Glow
My New Favorite Highlight: Cover Girl All Over Glow in Rosy Glow
Cover Girl All over Glow in Rosy Glow ($4.99 for 30mL) is a highlighter that can be used to also give an all-over glow. It delivers a very shimmery-sheen pink color. It comes out a bit white when swatched but if applied with a brush it works well. It gives just the right amount of glow and sheen to the face. It is more shimmery than most highlighters I have tried, but it seems to work for it. I was pleasantly surprised with how long the color wears for. It lasted me all day. It has a light rosy scent in the bottle but when applied to the skin it smells like makeup, but it isn’t an over powering scent.
Its consistency is thin and creamy, but can be sticky; another reason I suggest applying it with a brush. You don’t need much of the product at all; it is very pigmented so the tube will last at least 4 months if used on a daily basis.
The downside is that this product was limited edition and can only be purchased from dealers on sites such as EBay (where I got mine). I normally would not do a review on a discontinued product but I love this highlighter so much I had to share it with all of you. Hopefully you can find it somewhere.
Overall Thoughts: I would rate this product 9.5/10. The pigmentation is fantastic; it gives a very vibrant sheen. It has a smooth, creamy texture that if applied right is not sticky. It lasts for a very long time, much longer than a powder or cream highlighter. It is pretty easy to apply if a brush is used. I do not like the packaging though because the tube can dispense a lot more product than actually needed. But if you are looking for a way to add a healthy glow to your face or just highlight this product is a must.

My Top 5 Can't Live Without Body Products

Hey girls so I thought today I’d share with you my top 5 body products that I couldn’t live without.
1.       Dove Beauty Bar:             I love this soap; it has such a clean scent. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin and leaves me feeling fresh and cleansed. And it doesn’t sting your eyes like most soap. I definitely recommend its purchase.
2.       Victoria Secret Pink Fragrance Mist:       My boyfriend purchased this for me a few years ago and I have been hooked ever since. It smells so delicious. And although the packaging has changed since I first purchase it, the fragrance sure hasn’t! On the plus size it is named after my favorite color, pink, and I love it just as much.
3.       Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash:            I own backups of this product, I love it that much! It smells delicious and is like a lotion consistency. It leaves my skin so silky smooth. I love it.
4.       John Frieda Go Blonder Shampoo:          This shampoo has that wonderful fresh from the salon scent and it really lightens my hair in the winter.
5.       Soft Lip Vanilla Chap stick:          This Chap Stick is super smooth and smells delicious. I love to apply it before lipstick so the lipstick glides right on. It also has SPF which is a super big plus.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, Have Any of youPurchased it?

I just saw about the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette and I’m wondering if any of you have purchased it yet? If so please comment and let me know how you like it. If a lot of you do, then I will purchase it and do a review for all of you.

AcneFree Theraputic Sulfur Mask Review

AcneFree Therapeutic Sulfur Mask ($7.99) is one of my favorite face masks of all time. My only complaint about it is that it does not smell that great. I usually wash my face after using the mask and then finish with a cleanser the remove the odor left behind from it.
But once you get past the smell, this is a great product for red or irritated skin. You can even feel the mask at work, which I love; it leaves a cool tingling feeling on your face. I find it really reduces the redness I have. It also minimizes pores and removes excess oil from the skin. As for getting rid of acne, I didn’t really see a difference so if you struggle with severe acne this product will remove redness but not the pimples.
I do recommend picking this mask up because even if you don’t have any skin problems it helps firm and smooth out skins overall appearance. It is well worth the purchase and super easy to use. The mask changes to a light blue color when it is time to rinse so there is never any guessing.
I definitely recommend checking out AcneFree’s website, they offer a wide variety of skin care products for sensitive skin, moderate acne, and sever acne.

Review: Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips

Sally Hanson Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips (around $9 for 16 strips) are nail strips made from real nail polish. The strips come in a variety of colors and designs. I so far have tried the Bling It On and Kitty, Kitty designs. But there are plenty to choose from for every taste.
I think that these nail strips look absolutely fantastic. They wear fabulously, the company claims they last up to ten days but I have found they last even longer, about 14 days. The only complaint is they are hard to match to your nail size so you have to use the cuticle stick to cut the edges and match it to the form of your nail. They also tend to chip at the top, but this does not pose a huge problem, I usually just clip my nails to keep them looking fresh. After wearing them for two weeks they are not even chipped, the problem is they grow up with your natural nail therefore the wear time is different for each person depending on the rate of your nail growth. They are easily removed with a cotton ball soaked in nail polish remover.

These nail strips can be bought at almost any drugstore or beauty supply store. I suggest purchasing them from Walgreen’s because they sell 2 for $12.22. Whereas the retail other places for around $9.
Overall thoughts: I would rate this product at 9/10. The color is vibrant and doesn’t fade and it has a smooth texture. It lasts much longer than a normal nail polish. Though it can be a bit tedious to apply. (Takes about a half hour to do both hands.) The packaging is concise and supplies directions inside. Inside it contains the 16 strips as well as a direction booklet, nail file/buffer, and cuticle stick. This product is well worth the purchase. It is inexpensive, easy, and looks fabulous.
